The PSIP plant, located in Challakere Taluk of Chitradurga District, Karnataka, is an integrated steel manufacturing facility producing a wide range of high-quality products, including iron ore pellets, DRI, MS billets, TMT bars and structural steel.

At the core of the facility is a state-of-the-art iron ore pellet plant that produces high-grade pellets, which serve as the primary input for manufacturing superior-quality DRI. The DRI is further processed through the induction furnace (IF) route, supported by converters and a Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF), to produce high-quality liquid steel with enhanced metallurgical properties.

This liquid steel is cast into low phosphorous and sulphur (LPS) mild steel billets, which are subsequently rolled into premium-grade TMT rebars and structural steel products — ensuring strength, consistency and performance for demanding construction applications. All products manufactured at the facility represent quality, reliability and engineering excellence.
